After finishing a degree course in Art in Bristol I moved to Newport with my husband. During our years there we had four children. I did a short course in textiles & embroidery at Newport College of Art, and a teaching diploma at Newport Technical College, and taught leisure studies at Risca Institute.

My husband's job took us away from Wales, but we have continued returning for holidays.
